Our Honeymoon

Our journey took us to Denmark, Greenland, Sweden and London before returning to Singapore.

On the cobblestone streets of Copenhagen, we visited the colourful boat houses along Nyhavn where colorful facades and quiet canals set the tone for the journey ahead.

From there, we travelled far into the Arctic towards Ilulissat, the iceberg capital, where we stayed in a glass cabin, sailed and watched icebergs drift silently across frozen waters. At night, the northern lights unfurled above us, dancing in slow celestial waves, a moment that felt both surreal and deeply ours.

Our arctic adventure continued in Kiruna, where the northern lights welcomed our arrival.   We trekked across frozen landscapes, ice-fished on quiet lakes, and glided through Nordic trails on skis, embracing the winter covered in soft and white stillness.

In Kurravaarra, we glamped in an aurora hut on a peninsula overseeing the frozen Torne River, falling asleep beneath star-filled skies and waking to snow-blanketed horizons. On our final night, the northern lights found us once again, as if following our journey.

We closed our honeymoon in London, a shift from ice to city lights, spending our days shopping, wandering familiar streets, and meeting dear friends who became part of our celebration. And finally, we returned to Singapore; not just from a trip, but from a journey written in ice, snow, light, and love.

The Northern Lights

We were blessed to witness the northern lights not once, but many times — as if the Arctic skies had chosen to celebrate with us.

In Ilulissat, Greenland, emerald ribbons shimmered above drifting icebergs, their reflections dancing across the frozen waters outside our aurora cabin.

And in Kiruna, Sweden, the magic began even before our boots touched the snow — as our plane descended through the dark, we looked out the window to see the aurora already sweeping across the heavens, welcoming us from above.

Later, in Kurravaarra, we watched them again from our glass hut, silent waves of green and violet flowing over snow-laden forests. Each sighting felt like a quiet blessing — a reminder that some moments in life arrive gently, glow brightly, and stay with you forever.
